Contains our gift shop, Stacy's Corners Store; our multi-purpose room where we hold events; our archives and artifacts collection; our art and history gallery; exhibit windows; our offices.

The History Center is located next to Forest Glen Elementary School, one block south of the intersection of Geneva Rd., St. Charles Rd., and N. Main St. One mile north of downtown Glen Ellyn and the train station.

There is free parking in our lot. Additional parking is located behind Stacy's Tavern Museum. If school is closed, you may park by the elementary school, or across the street at the District 41 Administration Building. There is also parking on nearby residential streets, but watch for directional signs as not all side streets allow parking on both sides.

Hours:  Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Around holidays, please check our hours before you come, 

as we close most holiday weekends. 

If you are coming to visit our Archives, we recommend calling before you come. Some questions we can answer for you, but we want to make sure assistance is available when you're here! Sometimes the archives are not available due to programs or rentals, or other scheduling conflicts.

Unless you have special mobility needs, we recommend parking at the History Center, as that lot is paved and the lot behind the museum is dirt/gravel. 

There is a wheelchair ramp at the back of the museum. However, there are only stairs to the second floor of the building.

Please note: 557 Geneva Rd. is the physical address of the property but we do not receive mail at this address -- it will be returned.

Hours:  Tours are currently available by appointment only, usually from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. 

(Some Saturday availability)

Please call at least 48 hours in advance to schedule an appointment. Tours depend on the availability of staff and volunteer docents.

Admission: Museum admission is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for students ages 6 - 17, and children 5 & under are free. 

Admission can be paid by cash at the museum or by credit card at our gift shop at 800 N. Main St. in Stacy's Corners Store.
