Volunteers are the heart of the Glen Ellyn Historical Society. Several opportunities are available based on your interests, passion, and time availability. You can volunteer to research, give tours, work the gift shop, help at one of our events, and more.
Be a docent for people who tour Stacy’s Tavern Museum.
Hold regular hours working the cash register at the Stacy’s Corners Store.
Volunteer at one-day events, greet guests at programs, or help with large mailings.
Catalog items and help maintain our database and collections.
Research homes and businesses for our historical house plaque program.
Dig into Glen Ellyn History, genealogy, and more in response to community member questions.
Present a program on Glen Ellyn History! Use ours or work with us to create your own.
Bring your expertise and interest to the program, finance, fundraising, museum committee and more.
Help design or write posters, brochures, online content, and more.
Help with weeding, watering, gardening, and keeping our grounds beautiful.
High school, college and graduate students — and recent grads — are welcome to volunteer to gain work or service experience. (Sorry, but we don’t have any paid internships available right now.)
