Stacy’s Tavern Museum

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places!

Visit Glen Ellyn’s award-winning restoration of an authentic 1840’s wayside inn. Standing in its original location on Geneva Road, the tavern was built by Moses Stacy and his wife Joanna in 1846. Acquired by the Village in 1968 with restoration beginning in 1971, the museum is open today through the join efforts of the Village of Glen Ellyn and the Historical Society. When you visit the museum, you will see what life was like in the 1840s for the Stacy family and their guests. Tours must be prescheduled. 

The Anderson Multi-Purpose Room (For Rent)

Located within the History Center | Seats up to 200 people

If your group is seeking space for a meeting or gathering, the Anderson Multi-Purpose Room is available for rent. It seats up to 200 people theater-style, and up to 96 for a seated meal or for conference style seating at 8-ft. rectangular tables.

Glen Ellyn Center for Historical Research

The Center for Historical Research offers space to gather for our regularly scheduled events, exhibits and an art and history gallery, as well as our archives and artifacts collection. Access to the archives is by appointment only.

History Park / Ward Plaza

Adjacent to the History Center

Our beautiful property welcomes visitors to the north entrance to the village of Glen Ellyn. Relax, picnic or play, or join us at one of our many outdoor programs and events. Ward Plaza opened in 2011 and is dedicated to Historical Society members and long-time volunteers Doug and Ruthann Ward.
