Uncle Sam Wants YOU to Remember the Women of Independence

Uncle Sam Wants YOU to Remember the Women of Independence

Saturday, March 14th at 2:00 p.m.

Numerous women played key roles in the establishment of our nation, yet their contributions are often overlooked. What roles did they play in shaping American history? How did their perception of freedom differ from that of men?

This program explores the lives of women in Colonial America and their significant contributions to the Revolutionary War. While Martha Washington and Abigail Adams are commonly mentioned, this presentation also highlights lesser-known figures such as Deborah Read, Mercy Otis Warren, and Sybil Ludington. Discover how these women shattered stereotypes and helped pave the way for future generations.
